The flight over to Anchorage was very easy. A quick five hours and we arrived at 1 am. The best part of the plane ride was that around 11:30pm we looked out the window and the sky looked as if it was dusk and the sun was setting. It stayed that way the rest of the flight. It was really beautiful.
Al surprised us by picking us up, which was a really nice surprise. From there it was a quick drive to their house. The sun sets here around 11:30pm and rises around 4:30am. Even so, there are really only a couple hours of actual darkness. I think we really only saw it dark when we first arrived. This picture is taken out their front door at 11pm.
The weather has been overcast since we arrived. Drizzly and in the 50's and 60's.
We had a few days with Al, Calle, and Taylor before they left. We went to a lake where we saw lots of people with their dogs. Made me think of how much fun Teak would have in Alaska.
